President's Message
Hello my dear Friends,
It was a pleasure to collaborate with Lachat Farm this year for the International Women’s Day Tea, a tradition WSC hopes to continue for many years to come.
I had the honor of serving as master of ceremonies with an interactive presentation that highlighted the importance of this day for all women and remember the five pioneering women of Weston who started The Women’s Club of Weston in 1966 with 70 members, which eventually evolved into the Weston Newcomers and Neighbors Club, and currently is now the Weston Social Club. Those original women started a movement that offered friendship, support, and activities to thousands of members in our Weston community. A special thank you to Raisa Kendall, who provided research, her own personal materials for display, and her memories and recollections of past events that enhanced the presentation.
I also want to thank all our members who attended and volunteered at the event. We hope to see many more join us next March at this fabulously charming afternoon celebrating International Women’s Day!
With Weston L♥ve,
Michelle Sperry
